Through our EnergyWise Financing, you can finance up to $15,000 on new natural gas equipment. New energy-efficient natural gas equipment like furnaces and water heaters are one of the best ways to improve your home’s health, comfort and monthly energy bills.  

We can help you get started with low-interest financing, and you can even pay for your purchase on your monthly Spire bill. This financing option is available to both residential and small commercial customers.

Appliances which qualify for up to $15,000 in financing include:  

• Purchase and installation of certain energy efficiency and conservation improvements 
• Natural gas furnace with minimum 92% AFUE 
• Natural gas space heating boiler with minimum 90% AFUE 
• Above furnace or boiler plus a natural gas air conditioner or electric air conditioner with minimum 
• 14 SEER. No financing of electric air conditioners without gas furnace or boiler 
• Above furnace or boiler plus an additional energy efficient natural gas appliance 
• Natural gas storage water heater (20-55 gallons) with minimum .64 UEF or higher 
• Natural gas storage water heater (55-100 gallons) with minimum .76 UEF or higher 
• Natural gas tankless water heater (less than 2 gallons) with .80 UEF or higher 
• Natural gas integrated space and water heating tank system with minimum .90 AFUE 
• Natural gas integrated space and water heating tankless system with minimum .90 AFUE 
• Energy audit by certified energy auditor provided any of above equipment is purchased and installed 
• We do not finance heat pumps  

More than half of the energy used for winter heating is lost from homes through uninsulated walls, floors, ceilings and attics. Insulating these areas is a fast, sure way to create significant energy savings in winter and summer. Insulation creates a barrier of air between warm and cold areas in your home, keeping heat inside during the winter. In the summer, attic insulation helps make cooling your home easier with less wasted energy.  

Insulation financing is available to residential customers only.

Eligible home energy conservation improvements must include, where feasible, increase in attic/ceiling insulation level to minimum R-38.

• Attic ventilation 
• Caulking and weather-stripping 
• Storm doors and storm windows 

• Pay As You Save (PAYS) ® : Unlike traditional financing, Spire’s Pay As You Save (PAYS) program covers most or some of the upfront costs needed to install energy-efficient equipment in your home. Over time, you repay the costs for these upgrades through a fixed monthly PAYS charge added to your monthly Spire bill. Since the new energy-efficient upgrades save you money by using less energy, your annual bill should be lower than before. Learn more >
