As of March 31, 2026, the natural gas provider for Nashville and the surrounding region has changed from Piedmont Natural Gas to Spire. Right now, this change requires no action on your part. Learn more about this change below.

Piedmont will continue to provide service for your billing and account needs on behalf of Spire for a period of time during this transition. That means that your bill, account number and payments will continue to be handled though Piedmont.

You can continue calling 800-752-7504 for natural gas emergencies (or 911) or customer service needs.

What this means for you

For now, there's no change to the phone number you call, your bill, account number, rates, programs, payment options or how you pay your bill. You’ll continue to receive your monthly bill and make payments the same way you do now. We’re focused on making it easy for you and ensuring a seamless transition.

Who is Spire?

When will I see the Spire name?

In the weeks ahead, you'll begin to see our team members, vehicles and buildings proudly displaying the Spire brand.

Piedmont Natural Gas will continue to provide service for your billing and account needs on behalf of Spire for a period of time during the transition. That means you’ll continue to receive your natural gas bill from Piedmont Natural Gas until the transition to Spire is fully complete in 2027. We promise to keep you updated along the way.

Will my rates change?

Your rates will remain the same when Spire becomes your natural gas provider on March 31, 2026.

What will my natural gas bill look like?

Your bill will look the same for now. Piedmont will continue to provide service for your billing and account needs on behalf of Spire for a period of time during this transition. We promise to keep you updated about any future changes to your bill.

How will I be able to access My Account information?

You can continue to access your account information just like you always have – by visiting Piedmont Natural Gas My Account >

Who do I call for emergencies and customer service?

You can continue calling 800-752-7504 for natural gas emergencies (or 911) or customer service needs.

Will my service be interrupted during the transition?

Your natural gas service will remain in operation during the transition – there’s no impact or change to your service.

I’m currently enrolled in a special program through Piedmont. Is that program still available?

If you’re enrolled in a program through Piedmont, you’ll continue to be in that program -- and you continue using the same phone number to reach out. Programs and service offerings are not changing during this transition.
