- IMPORTANT: Customers in St. Louis and St. Charles counties and surrounding areas may smell rotten eggs due to too much of the substance that gives gas its rotten egg smell being added to our system during maintenance. We’re working to resolve the issue. Please still give us a call if you think you smell gas.
- Call wait times: We understand your time is valuable. Because of higher call volumes, wait times are longer than usual. Our team is working through all inquiries we’ve received. If you’ve already called us, please know that we’ll get to you as soon as we can.
- Stay alert for scams: Please also be aware of scams. Spire will never charge you to come out to investigate the smell of gas. If you receive a phone call from someone claiming to be with Spire and you feel unsafe, hang up and call us. We’re here to help. Remember, you do not have to give out personal information by phone, email or in person if you’re uncomfortable.
