Sweet and savory barbecued pork steaks

Ingredients

  • 1 pack ¾-inch thick pork steaks
  • Salt and pepper
  • Vidalia onion BBQ sauce, preferably Maull’s brand
  • Yellow onion 

Instructions

  1. Season pork steaks with salt and pepper.
  2. Cut yellow onion into ¼-inch-thick slices and set aside.
  3. Grill meat on medium to medium-high heat for approximately 4 minutes on each side, or until nicely charred.
  4. Transfer pork steaks to a roasting pan and cover with Vidalia onion BBQ sauce and onion slices. Then, cover the pan with foil.
  5. Place the pan in the oven at 225 degrees for 1 ½ to 2 hours, or until fall apart tender.
  6. Serve and enjoy with your favorite side dishes!
