Paperless billing terms and conditions
The Paperless Billing option requires an active My Account registration and a valid e-mail address. You may enroll in Paperless Billing at any time. Upon enrollment in Paperless Billing, your bill for the next billing cycle will be presented to you in a digital format.
Spire will use commercially reasonable efforts to present all of your paperless bills promptly and to send e-mail notification to the primary e-mail address listed on your account. It is your sole responsibility to ensure that this information is accurate. In the event you do not receive notification, it is your responsibility to log into the self-service portal and check your paperless bills and account balance(s).
It is your sole responsibility to pay your Spire bill on time to avoid late fees, collection activity or disconnection of service.
You may terminate Paperless Billing at any time by logging into the My Account portal. After you terminate Paperless Billing, future bills will be mailed to your current address on file with Spire. Please make sure to pay your final paperless bill by the due date. You can check your current account balance at https://myaccount.spireenergy.com.
Spire reserves the right to cancel the Paperless Billing service at any time.
If e-mails are returned as undeliverable, Spire reserves the right to terminate your participation in the Paperless Billing service and return to sending you a paper bill. You may enroll again at any time after correcting any e-mail address errors through the self-service portal. These Paperless Billing Terms and Conditions, including any termination or cancellation thereof by either you or Spire, do not alter your liability or obligations that currently exist between you and Spire concerning your utility usage, and other products and services.
You are responsible for any and all telephone access fees and/or Internet service fees that may be assessed by your telephone and/or internet service provider.
It is your sole responsibility to ensure that the contact information in your user profile is current and accurate. This includes, but is not limited to; name, address, phone number(s) and e-mail address(es).
These Paperless Billing Terms and Conditions do not supersede, modify or in any way mitigate your obligation to be bound by and comply with the My Account Terms and Conditions. The My Account Terms and Conditions are incorporated herein by reference. Should there be any discrepancies between these Paperless Billing Terms and Conditions and the My Account Terms and Conditions, the My Account Terms and Conditions shall control.
Text Alerts
By enrolling in text alerts ("Service"), you accept the following terms and conditions. Please note, we may change these terms or cancel the Service if necessary.
You agree to provide us with a valid mobile number.
You agree that we may send you text messages through your wireless provider. We do not charge for the Service, but you are responsible for all charges and fees associated with text messaging imposed by your wireless service provider.
Spire supports the following carriers: AT&T, Verizon Wireless, Sprint, T-Mobile®, Nextel, Boost Mobile, Cricket, Virgin Mobile USA, MetroPCS, U.S. Cellular®, Ntelos, Cellular South, Cincinnati Bell, Centennial, Bluegrass, Appalachian Wireless, Revol, Illinois Valley, United Wireless, Inland Cellular, West Central Cellular, ECIT, Immix, Nex-Tech, Pocket Com USA, Pioneer Wireless USA, Simmerty US, Union Wireless, Cellcom. Message and data rates may apply.
You understand that balances provided may not include recent or pending transactions that have not yet posted to your account and that other restrictions may apply.
Text messages are intended to be a convenience for our customers, and this is one of many communication channels we support. You understand that text message notifications may be delayed or not received during regional emergencies or other periods of high messaging traffic.
Third parties can send text messages disguised as alerts from Spire, and therefore you are urged to independently verify the authenticity of any message that you receive.
Text message order delivery is not always predictable. Text message alerts from Spire will be presented on your mobile device in the same manner as any other text messages.
Please notify us immediately of any changes to your registered device. In case of unauthorized access to your Device or Service, you agree to cancel enrollment associated with the Device immediately.
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold us harmless from any third party claims, liability, damages or costs arising from your use of the Service or from you providing us with a phone number that is not your own.
You agree that we will not be liable for failed, delayed, or misdirected delivery of any information sent through the Service; any errors in such information; any action you may or may not take in reliance on the information or Service; or any disclosure of account information to third parties resulting from your use of the service. We will not be liable to you for special, indirect or consequential damages.
