Natural gas is coming to West Hattiesburg

Safe, reliable, affordable natural gas is coming to West Hattiesburg

We're excited to serve the West Hattiesburg community, and we're committed to provide all the information you need on our natural gas expansion project. This page will be your go-to source for important updates along the way. And remember, if you have any questions, you can always reach out at the contact information below.

Here's where we are today

Our expansion project is well underway with the installation of the natural gas pipelines starting mid-March, and we're expecting to complete Phase One by mid-year.

Here's a quick look at Phase One

The bulk of this phase involves installing, a natural gas main from Old Hwy 11 westward to Hwy 589 in Lamar County. This main will run west, approximately 3.8 miles, ending at the intersection of Hwy 589.

What you can expect

We're working with T. L. Wallace Construction to install the natural gas main in the easement along Hwy 98 west. This may cause some minimal disruptions to traffic at times when our crews are working. Thanks for your patience and understanding. Please know - we'll do everything we can to minimize disruptions.

Looking ahead

Once phase one is complete, we will continue to work with the Mississippi Public Service Commission to determine the size and launch of future phases, with the goal of serving the entire West Hattiesburg community in the coming years.
