Spire to present St. Louis Symphony Orchestra with $130,000 rebate after equipment upgrades

Rebate from Spire an example of how business and residential customers can save energy and money.

ST. LOUIS (Sep. 1, 2026) — Investments into more energy efficient equipment by the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra (SLSO) will not only ensure visitors to Powell Hall and the Jack C. Taylor Music Center will continue to stay warm on the coldest of days, they will provide the SLSO with substantial savings from Spire.

On Sep. 1, Spire presented the SLSO with a $130,000 energy efficiency rebate for the installation of equipment that dramatically save on energy bills at the Jack C. Taylor Music Center. The rebates were earned through Spire’s energy efficiency programs over the past two years.

The investments by SLSO are part of Powell Hall’s recently completed $140 million expansion and renovation.
The Spire rebate highlights not only how business and commercial customers like the SLSO can save, but how rebates can help residential customers save as well.
