You’ll see your donations each month on your gas bill, and you can always view your enrollment status in your online account. Donations are tax deductible as allowed by law, with Spire acting as an agent for United Way in assisting those with emergency energy needs. Save your year-end gas bill as proof of your contribution. United Way is a 501(c)(3) not for profit corporation, tax ID# 43-0714167.

What are some other public assistance heating programs?

There are many heating assistances programs available. There are also programs that educate people on reducing energy usage and, as a result, heating bills. Find out more here:

What type of heating bill is covered by DollarHelp grants?

DollarHelp grants cover natural gas bills for Spire customers. 

Where can I get help?

DollarHelp is active in all communities Spire serves. DollarHelp is the last stop for families when other public assistance options have been exhausted. If you need help, please contact 2-1-1.
