Veterans Day is about celebrating and honoring America’s veterans for their patriotism, love of country and willingness to serve and sacrifice for others. According to the National Center for Veterans Analysis and Statistics, more than 375,000 U.S. veterans live in the state of Alabama.

And with five active military bases within the state — including an aviation training center for the U.S. Coast Guard in Mobile — honoring those who serve and have served is an active duty. And Mobile’s Veterans Day Parade, hosted by the Mobile Bay Veterans Day Commission, is an annual highlight.

Earlier this month, Spire was honored to serve as a proud 4 Star Sponsor for the 2023 parade.

Ryan Leach, proud Marine veteran and senior business development representative for Spire, is touched by Spire’s support of the Mobile Bay Veterans Day Commission.

“Spire’s support of veterans—within the company and throughout the communities we serve—means a lot to me personally, as well as to my colleagues who served or loved someone who served. The Veterans Day parade in Mobile showcases that commitment, and honors those who gave so much to protect the freedoms we all hold dear,” said Ryan.
