See how Spire supports ending hunger for Mississippi neighbors

February 23, 2023: According to Martha Allen, executive director of Extra Table, one in five Mississippi residents experience hunger. That's 600,000 people including 121,000 children.

2023 marks the second annual March of the Mayors event, which is an annual canned food drive and "Mississippi's Largest Food Box Packing Party."

This year, 13 cities across the Pine Belt are participating with the goal of stocking pantries and soup kitchens across the region. 

At Spire, we believe natural gas is key to cooking delicious meals, but our energy can really go so much farther. With inflation and continuously rising food costs, it's a privilege to be able to assist with this event once again.
